BROOKLYN HEIGHTS CO-OP

In this Brooklyn Heights apartment renovation, we focused on preserving the character of the historic architecture while making the spaces work better for everyday life.

Opening up the kitchen and an adjacent bedroom allowed for a more connected layout. We also introduced a daybed library and a series of built-ins that provide storage while helping to define each space and give the furniture a sense of purpose and place.

For the interiors, we took a more contemporary approach, using color and furnishings to reflect the owners’ personalities and the energy of a young family. The result balances the apartment’s historic bones with a fresh, lived-in feel.
