Located on a steep site in the Catskill mountains, this resort and spa finds a deep and varied connection to its site.

Located uphill, the public spaces hug the contour of the landscape and are elevated into the treetops, providing a private tree-house like experience and a deep connection to the forest. The spaces are sequenced in a long floating bar of indoor/outdoor spaces which include the lobby, a bar, treatment & massage rooms, and a variety of pools, hot tubs and decks. You descend between the volumes to re-connect with the landscape and descend to the private residences below.

In contrast to the tree-house like public spaces, the twenty-five rooms are embedded into the ground, like boulders in the landscape and disappear beneath insulated green roofs. Each room becomes an oasis with extreme privacy and a framed view of the rolling hills and mountains beyond.
