Studio PHH

Our Story

ABOUT

STUDIO PHH was launched in 2016 with a focus on creating beautiful, creative and design forward environments for our clients. The studio was established on the belief that each of our lives can and should benefit from the built environment with which we surround ourselves; a conviction that each project conceived, designed, and produced should challenge our assumptions and respond to the individual desires of the end-user.

STUDIO PHH is a NYC based Architecture and design firm which was founded by Pierre-Henri Hoppenot.

HOW WE WORK

At STUDIO PHH, we work closely with clients to understand their passions, core identity and values in order to weave these into each project's experience.  We methodically investigate material potential and couple these findings with an exploration of the inherent dichotomies present within a project - this often produces unique yet utilitarian features which become a project's identity.

We strive to re-imagine a world in which functionality can be cohesively enhanced through its adjacency to art.  This world, we bring to life from design through construction, one unique project at a time.

EXPERIENCE

STUDIO PHH bridges across disciplines and continues to broaden its built work while collaborating with some of the best clients, designers and engineers in the world.  With a range of existing experience and built projects in New York, New Jersey and Haiti, the studio has worked on projects of all scales including academic, retail, residential, fitness centers, and furniture design.

Pierre-Henri Hoppenot decided to start Studio PHH after working at world-renowned design firms including two years at Rafael Vinoly Architects, followed by four years at Weiss/Manfredi managing large scale academic and residential projects (namely Cornell NYC Tech in New York City and Greenhill Performing Arts Center in Dallas). He is taking this large scale project management experience with him to continue to create inspiring spaces for people to live, work and play.
